About Rodrigo Reyes
Rodrigo Reyes was born in Guatemala, and is currently working in Oslo, Norway as a photographer and digital artist. He has a passion for photography and the ability to digitally transform pictures into real works of art, printed on the best quality canvas and framed to the costumer's choice. Rodrigo has spend a great deal of time behind the lens of a camera since childhood and has been inspired by the works of his grandfather, aunt and cousin, all avid photographers and artists. He works with different photographic techniques and avidly uses the latest version of Photoshop to transform a seemingly plain digital picture into a portrait worthy of hanging on the wall of any art lover. Because of this, you will notice that most of his pictures have some, or a lot of post processing, with an end result that will remind us of the works of the classic paintings of the baroque period. This is why Rodrigo Reyes has revived the concept of the Power Portrait as a piece of art that will immortalize the image of the costumer. All his work is printed on high quality canvas with a method called Giclée.
Giclée is the process of making fine art prints from a digital source using ink-jet printing. Giclée, as a fine art term, has come to be associated with prints using fade-resistant "archival" inks and the inkjet printers that use them, giving the final portrait at least 70 years of fade proof color, offering a life time guarantee on its quality.
